Fox FM’s Dave Ferrier jumps to Mix 94.5 for ‘The Rush Hour’
Mix 94.5 has announced the new host of The Rush House, with Dave Ferrier heading West for the gig.
Dave replaces Pete Curulli, who was moved across to Hit92.9 Breakfast after Ryan Jon resigned last month.
Most recently the fill-in anchor for Hit National Drive show Carrie & Tommy, Dave has experience in production and hosting a variety of shows at SCA including The Sunday Night Experiment.
He has also appeared on SBS Viceland’s The Feed, ABC’s The Checkout and 7Mate’s video game show ScreenPLAY, and as a writer he’s had his work published in The New Yorker, The Guardian and The Chaser Quarterly.
“My Mum, Dad and two older brothers are all in Perth,” Dave said.
“My brother Will and his wife Ash are about to become first-time parents so I’m really excited to become favourite Uncle Dave.
“Also, my parents don’t know I’m coming home yet, I’m planning to surprise them – so no one tell my parents please!”
Dave Ferrier will now be heard on Mix 94.5 weekdays from 1pm-3pm, before hosting ‘The Rush Hour with Dave’ from 3pm-5pm.
“Dave is the next rising star at SCA,” added Erica McGee, head of Mix 94.5 and Triple M content – WA.
“A Perth boy, he supports all the right sporting teams, and will bring a new energy to afternoons on Mix 94.5”
Mix 94.5 also announced that Paul Hogan will join Mix 94.5’s Dead Set Legends, after spending a week filling in on The Rush Hour.
Paul finished up after 18 months on Breakfast at the end of June, with the Paul & Lise Breakfast show replaced by Botica’s Bunch.
