Karl Stefanovic officially parts ways with Nine

Karl Stefanovic and Nine Entertainment have officially parted ways.

Confirming his departure this morning, the company said “Nine Entertainment and Karl Stefanovic have agreed that it is no longer possible for him to continue hosting Today at the same time as his independent podcast. While Karl and Nine had previously agreed he would leave Today at the end of this year, they have subsequently decided he will leave the Network immediately.”

Stefanovic will be a no-show on today’s episode of The Long Weekend on ARN’s GOLD Network.

ARN confirmed yesterday that he had made the decision to stand aside from today’s show, with co-host Eddie McGuire set to fly solo this afternoon.

The program is broadcast from midday AEST across the GOLD Network, iHeart, social platforms, 9Now and Stan.

Stefanovic is currently in London, where he recorded his controversial podcast episode with Tommy Robinson.
