Kris Fade ruled out for KIIS Breakfast in 2027
Kris Fade has finally put the speculation to bed, confirming he’s staying in Dubai – and won’t be hosting Breakfast on KIIS next year.
The former Sydneysider turned Virgin Radio personality has reportedly re-signed with the company on a one-year contract.

Fade announced that he will remain in the UAE, saying that, despite being approached by ARN, he ultimately felt the time was not right for him or his family to move back to Australia.
Fade had been widely tipped to host KIIS Sydney Breakfast following the departure of Kyle & Jackie O.
In a post-survey proclamation, ARN Chief Content Officer Kerri Elstub said “Our plans for next year – that we cannot tell you about – are really exciting, and we 100% know that the ratings are going to return for KIIS Breakfast,” further fuelling the radio rumour mill.

Never heard of him has he worked in Australia?
@Doug Kris worked for ARN Sydney. Street teamer, arvos announcer then breakfast on The Edge 96.1, then moved to Dubai for his bigger break.
I don’t think Kris has heard of you, either.
Signed a one year contract hardly a commitment. Sounds like Kris from Dubai will be doing KIIS breakfast in 2028 then, let ratings fall next 12 months.
@Doug: Before moving to Dubai in 2008, Kris Fade worked at The Edge 96.1: Got his start as part of the street team, before becoming that station’s Music Director and Afternoon Drive Host for a bit – winning an ACRA in 2007.
In more recent history, the KIIS Network ran a “The Kris Fade Show” highlights package on Sunday Mornings (8am to 10am) between 2018 and 2023.
Anyway, it personally wouldn’t surprise me if Mike E remains part of ARN’s immediate (ie, at least the remainder of 2026) plans for KIIS Breakfast – a reunion with Emma Chow if ARN can get her to return after SCA inevitably pull the plug on 2DayFM brekky, otherwise getting Nat Penfold to be the female co-presenter.
Longterm, who knows although it’s interesting how Kris has only signed a one-year contract with Virgin Radio…
IN my opinion Dave Cameron will let the KIIS 106.5 ratings collapse. He has many years experience trying to salvage ratings when he was in the Head Content role for 2Dayfm. He has been there, done that. He will then put the new KIIS Breakfast show in place in 2028. There’s no point putting anyone good in now, as they won’t last. The current listeners are Kyle and Pauline lovers, poor things.
Kris Fade is holding out for more money. He’ll get it too. KIIS needs something.
