Jess Perkins takes over triple j’s Weekend Arvo slot

Former Editor & Content Director

Jess Perkins will replace Bryce Mills on triple j’s Weekend Afternoons.

Mills had been in the role, however will this year take on the triple j Breakfast slot alongside Ebony Boadu to replace Sally Coleman and Erica Mallett.

Triple j told Radio Today Perkins already had a huge history with the network, having filled in on just about every program. Her segments have included ‘Dog Acts‘ and ‘Simply The Jess’t‘.

Plus, triple j said, she’s a successful stand-up comedian and has her own podcast, Do Go On.

Perkins said she was super excited to take on the role.

“It’s a dream gig for me and one I never really expected to get the opportunity to do, so I’m over the moon,” she said. “I’ve had such a great time over the past few years at triple j, doing Mid-Dawns and mucking around with Hobba and Hing on Drive. I feel so lucky to have the chance to be keeping the audience company all weekend.”

So stoked for Jess. She sounds great on air and is hilarious (on air and doing stand up).

Congrats!
