Zach and Dom go viral with pancakes hack

KIIS FM’s Zach & Dom shook up the typical shaker pancakes recipe recently, thinking outside the box to find different ingredients to give the classic breakfast some edge. The idea went viral and has now clocked over a million views on Instagram.

Zach Mander realised that although the directions on the pancake bottle say to add water, any liquid can be added to the mix. The idea led him to test out some recipes on air with co-host Dom Fay.

He tried chocolate milk, cola milk, and even Gatorade.

“Oddly, even the Gatorade one worked,” said Dom, who was the first to taste test. “Plus, I had the energy to go for a 5km run after finishing them.”

“We’ve been inundated with people suggesting what we should try next, and in true Aussie spirit most of them are alcohol,” Zach said.

“I might try those ones after the kids go to bed.”
