Will & Woody’s on-air kiss immortalised in street art

‘That moment’ KIIS FM Drive Show hosts Will & Woody passionately kissed on-air has been immortalised in a mural on a busy café wall in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond.

The kiss happened earlier this month after the two were discussing the ‘feud’ between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh, which was reportedly sparked by Olivia’s boyfriend Harry Styles sharing an on-screen kiss with Florence in the 2022 film Don’t Worry Darling.

Will & Woody insisted they would never have such tensions and set out to prove it.

It was a big moment for the boys’ relationship and the show, so the team reached out to Danielle Weber, a Melbourne based street artist who has worked with many huge names including Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, to capture it in a mural.

Rowena Corner Store in Richmond then agreed to lend out its wall under one condition – Will & Woody had to get three A-List celebrities into their café.  After much hustling, they managed to wrangle Peking Duk, Amy Shark and Hanson into the café to get the mural across the line.

At the reveal, co-host Woody Whitelaw said “Despite Will’s initial reluctance to kiss me, it was an iconic moment that took our relationship to the next level, so it’s great to have it immortalised on the side of a wall. It’s also great that Danielle managed to accurately draw the size of Will’s head.”

Will McMahon says “I’ve done some crazy things for the radio show, but this is absolutely right up there. I’m genuinely humbled to be on a mural in such an iconic location, and I’m blown away by the response from our listeners and fans – the support has been amazing.”
