Triple M’s Gold Coast brekkie team gives back to the community

Reporter

Over the past two weeks, Triple M Gold Coast’s brekkie team Flan, Ali and Spida have been volunteering, immersing themselves in various community projects, and hearing inspiring stories from volunteers and organisations.

Now, they’ve started a giveback movement.

Today they broadcast live from 6am – 9am while volunteering at Raba Urban Farm in Mudgeeraba, helping to plant trees, mulch bush regeneration areas, paint chicken coops and tend to animals, among other things.

At Triple M, staff are entitled to a day of Volunteer Leave each year, which often goes unused.

This year, the team dedicated its Volunteer Day to this Giveback Movement at Raba Farms, with Gold Coast Suns players coming by to offer their support.

Raba Urban Farm supports students from Mudgeeraba State Special School, Southport Flexible Learning Centre as well as local NDIS providers.

Their devoted volunteers from within the community generously give their time to assist these students in acquiring invaluable skills for their future.

For goidness sake. Bloody Gold Coast.
Newcastle MMM 102.9 has been doing that for nearly 10 years. No wonder they rate Number 1.
