Triple M leads the pack in GfK Survey 3 for Newcastle
The local Triple M and Hit stations have dominated GfK Survey 3 for Newcastle.
Overall, 102.9 Triple M was unchanged with a 21.1 share, still leading all people 10+ with sister station Hit 106.9 next on 18.5, enjoying a solid rise of 3.3.
NEW FM is next with an 11.0 share (-0.9).

The Triple M team of Tanya and Steve dropped slightly in Breakfast to a 24.0 share but remain the clear leader in that timeslot.
Hit’s brekky team of Jess and Ducko continue to make ground, though (+2.6 to 18.8), with ABC Newcastle next (+1.5 to 8.0) and NEW FM sitting fourth (-1.1 to 7.6).
SCA Head of Regional Content Blair Woodcock said“The Newcastle Team is celebrating today with amazing Survey 3 results to wrap up the year!”
“Firstly, congratulations to Tanya and Steve as they finish the year by locking down 10 years together as the number 1 Breakfast show. It’s a massive milestone that speaks to their connection to the community.”
“We are also delighted for Jess and Ducko, who can mark their first year as a duo with a huge lift, having taken Hit 106.9 Newcastle to its highest Breakfast numbers since 2015. Not only have they continued their evolution and growth in Newcastle, but they have also developed into a strong networked Breakfast show across the state.”
“Congratulations to the entire Newcastle SCA team for their achievement for this survey, and throughout the year.”

So I see the new hierarchy of the Super Radio Network are out to rescue 2SM.
What are they going to do to get 2HD &NEW fm out of the cemetery?
2 HD what Will they do now John laws is hanging his hat up they need someone who can get 2 HD going well they also need to do better to get people listening as they are struggling
What is 2HD doing talk is not working they need to go for music and promotions something is going very wrong
New FM perpetually banging on about how ‘Local As’ it is being beaten by genuinely good radio. Maybe find a new record…
Attention super radio network:
On AM: Richard Glover, Simon Marnie and Sarah MacDonald are now all available.
On FM: Mitch Churi and a couple of Triple M drive shows are now available.
These are great talents that would super charge the super network in my humble opinion.
