Triple M gets ready to rock footy finals weekend

Triple M is gearing up for footy finals across both codes this weekend.

Ahead of the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final between Collingwood and Brisbane on the hallowed MCG turf, The Rush Hour with JB & Billy will broadcast live from Melbourne Public tomorrow (Thursday) for The Grand Final Rumble.

James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless will host listeners for the show, featuring a live performance by The Living End.

Grand Final Day will see Triple M broadcast live from the main stage outside gate three at the MCG from 8am.

105.1’s Dangerous Dave and Sarah-Maree will be on deck before Dead Set Legends with Leigh Montagna, Jay Clark, Kath Loughnan and Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann follows from 10am to midday.

Then it’s the Saturday Rub, with James Brayshaw, Billy Brownless, Bernie Vince and Damian Barrett to be heard from midday to 2pm, just before the first bounce.

Luke Darcy, Mark Howard, Jason Dunstall, Nathan Brown, Michael Roberts and Ash Chua will call the action across the Triple M Network and LiSTNR.

The weekend continues with the 2023 NRL and NRLW Telstra Premiership Grand Finals at Accor Stadium in Sydney, with Penrith up against Brisbane (NRL) and the Knights doing battle with the Titans (NRLW).

The Rush Hour with Gus, Jude & Wendell will be broadcasting live from Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal tomorrow (Thursday), joined by listeners and Triple M’s Aaron Woods and crossing to NRL players throughout the show.

NRLW Grand Final coverage begins from 4pm on Sunday, 1 October with Triple M’s call team, Anthony Maroon, Maddie Studdon and Aaron Woods, followed by the NRL Grand Final call across the Triple M Network and LiSTNR by James Graham, Ryan Girdler, Wendell Sailor and Dan Ginanne.

SCA Head of Sports Content – On-Air and On Demand Ewan Giles says “Triple M Footy has been riding every kick, try, goal, mark and hit-up of the AFL and NRL 2023 season and we can’t wait to finish off 2023 with two massive grand finals.”
