Triple M Sydney’s Breakfast team Beau, Cat & Woodsy have wrapped up the year with a live broadcast from a red double-decker bus for their Christmas Convoy.

Despite the pouring rain, Beau, Cat & Woodsy brought peak Chrissy spirit last Friday, sleighing around Sydney, delivering gifts and Christmas magic to families doing it tough this festive season.

Aaron ‘Woodsy’ Woods suited up as Santa, with celebrity guests including The Wiggles jumping aboard as the bus made its way from Mount Annan to Eagle Vale.

Over the past few weeks, Triple M listeners nominated loved ones in need. Each family received a bundle of tailored gifts, with the Convoy delivering everything from toys, art sets and scooters, to boogie boards, Taronga Zoo passes, tutoring support, gardening help, and a year of lawnmowing.

There were bigger surprises too – including a $2,000 cash cheque thanks to Best Sheds, a once-in-a-lifetime Music In Paradise experience worth $10k and a trip for family of four to the Magic Round in Brisbane thanks to the NRL.

Triple M’s Christmas Convoy proudly supports the work of The Salvation Army and their Christmas Appeal, which provides both immediate relief and long-term support to people who have nowhere else to turn. Triple M continues to encourage anyone who’s able to donate to The Salvos’ Christmas Appeal.

“We wanted to do something that actually makes a difference,” Beau, Cat & Woodsy said. “Christmas can be incredible, but it can also be incredibly hard. We’re hoping to bring some laughs and a little magic to families who need it most, whether financially, due to illness, or anything life has thrown at them this year.”

“Teaming up with The Salvation Army felt like a no-brainer – they want to help people and so do we. If we can rock up in a big red bus with a giant cheque and Woodsy in a Santa suit to make someone’s day then we’re going to do it!”

For the past three Fridays, Woodsy has also been popping up at Sydney malls and train stations — from Minto Mall to Penrith and Parramatta stations — broadcasting live with The Salvation Army and helping boost awareness for their Christmas Appeal.

All donations are handled directly by The Salvation Army, while Triple M’s Christmas Convoy runs alongside their work with the shared aim of helping families doing it tough this Christmas.
