The sporting trophy trifecta visit Nova 106.9’s Ash, Luttsy and Nikki Osborne

For the first time ever the AFL, NRL and NRLW premiership trophies all were in the same room.

After Brisbane teams won all three comps Ash Bradnam, part of Brisbane’s Nova 106.9 Ash, Luttsy & Nikki Osborne breakfast show wondered what it would take to get all of the trophies together?

Remarkably the Nova Brisbane team made it happen and you can see just how much it meant to Ash and David ‘Luttsy’ Lutteral.

Firstly Lachie Neale, co-captain of the Brisbane Lions, proudly passed around the 2025 AFL Premiership Cup, secured for the second consecutive season after their win over the Geelong Cats at the MCG Saturday September 27.

Then, Brisbane Broncos’ vice-captain Patty Carrigan, wearing the premiership ring, passed around the NRL trophy that the Broncos won after defeating the highly fancied Melbourne Storm at Accor Stadium in Sydney Sunday October 5.

The same day Co-Captain of the Brisbane Broncos, Ali Brigginshaw, had held aloft the NRLW trophy, the moment that had inspired Ash, beating the previously undefeated Sydney Roosters in their Grand Final.

It was the first time that all three trophies have been together anywhere in the world and the first time the three players had been able to come together to celebrate a historic season for Brisbane (QLD also won State of Origin).

Ash Bradnam said:

“It was on Grand Final day actually just after I watched Ali hold up the trophy, I just thought – imagine if we could get all three of these trophies together. Then straight after the men’s final I thought, let’s do it, we can only ask the question, and I didn’t know if it was going to be a chance or not, but the fact that we are standing here today. Well, it’s historic, a slice of history. It’s never happened before and to be the first people to bring these three incredible players together with these three trophies is pretty special.

This was a serious goosebump moment, I’ve been doing radio for a long time and that is a moment I won’t forget. When they all came into the studio with those three trophies, well, it’s a great celebratory time for everyone in Brisbane at the moment, and to be a part of that is very special. I’m going to remember today for a very long time!”

Ash, Luttsy & Nikki Osborne can be heard from 6am to 9am on Nova 106.9 in Brisbane.
