Melbourne’s SEN 1116 has had a blinder of a book in GfK Survey 3 of 2026, delivering the highest Breakfast result in the station’s 22-year history.

In what’s shaping up as a particularly interesting AFL season, SEN’s footy-focused programming is clearly resonating with listeners.

Not only did the AM sports station record share gains across every daypart, SEN Breakfast hosts Garry Lyon and Tim Watson – together with Fireball featuring Kane Cornes and David King – achieved a 6.0% share across Monday to Friday, a 10.9% streaming share and a cumulative audience of 219,000 – both all-time records for SEN 1116.

The Breakfast show picked up 40,000 listeners and now sits ahead of both KIIS 101.1 and ABC Melbourne.

SEN CEO Craig Hutchison was thrilled with the result.

“The entire Sports Entertainment Group congratulates our SEN Breakfast team on achieving its highest-ever ratings survey.”

“Garry & Tim and Kane & Kingy each bring a unique style across the week, and that combination is clearly resonating with audiences.”

“In the heart of the AFL season, to see strong growth across the schedule is extremely pleasing. With the FIFA World Cup 2026 commencing tomorrow across our network, we’re excited to continue building on that momentum and being the home of sport for fans across the country.”
