Roo through and through: Gold 104.3’s Alex Cullen finds his AFL footy family

This morning Alex Cullen – the newest recruit on Gold 104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show – shared details of his visit to the home of his newly-chosen AFL team, North Melbourne.

Having very recently relocated to Melbourne from Sydney, the pressure was on Alex to pick a side.

He decided on the Kangaroos for a few reasons, and not just the club’s heart and spirit.

It also has a number of twins in it (just like his daughters!) and Alex’s wife is friends with club CEO Jennifer Watt.

During his visit to Arden St, Alex spoke to North’s General Manager of Football Todd Viney and AFLW North Melbourne star Emma Kearney, which can be heard in a podcast special on The Christian O’Connell Show.

Alex said “I had a great time at the home of the North Melbourne Kangaroos, learning all about this celebrated club that might not have all the bells and whistles, but it’s got ticker, tradition, togetherness, and heart.”

“I love what this club is about, and the only way is up and looking forward to seeing what the AFLW team can do after winning the flag last season. This is a club I can get behind. Come on the Shinboners!”
