Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel host their show live from the back of a moving car in LA

It’s often said that necessity is the mother of invention, and that certainly has proved to be the case for Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel.

The Nova trio can now officially boast that they LITERALLY are a Drive show.

With Nova’s Red Room Global Tour having wrapped up, Ricki-Lee, Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey were embarking on the long journey home, but their flight from Las Vegas back to Los Angeles was delayed by hours, throwing a huge spanner in the works.

As a result, they were forced to host the show on their way from the airport, live from the back of a car on an LA freeway.

Tim: “Nova’s Red Room Global Tour Powered by Expedia, we are really, properly on the road with each other because we’ve just been on a plane from Vegas. That was delayed hours and hours and hours. And now we’re in a car, because we can’t get to you any other way.”

Joel: “We’re bouncing around, it’s very exciting.”

Ricki-Lee: “We were absolutely trying to bring the show to you live from our hotel, but we just couldn’t do it. This is how dedicated we are to you, our loyal Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel listeners. We want to be in your earholes. We’re not going to let a delay get in our way!”
