B&T has announced the shortlist for its 2020 Women In Media Awards, and several names have come from the radio and audio industry.

The final 30 names were cut down from a longlist, and the winners are set to be revealed at the virtual awards on Wednesday, October 28.

ACE Radio Network’s Kate Meade and Sophie Jackson were named in the Creative category, alongside names from Facebook, Leo Burnett, BMG and more.

Bec Brown, founder and managing director of The Comms Department who handles all communications for the Australian Radio Network, lands in the Public Relations category.

Brown recently released her first book titled You’ve Got This, a guide for female creatives and professionals to help build their dream career.

Meanwhile, Nine’s senior marketing manager Kristen Turner has been listed in the Marketing category, as has Serena Leith from Spotify.

“The calibre of entrants in this year’s B&T’s Women in Media Awards is higher than ever,” said B&T.

“To everyone who submitted an entry – you truly outdid yourselves. Our judges were blown away with what you’ve achieved over the last year.”

Voting is now open, and you can view the shortlist here.
