Podcasters shed light on endometriosis

TV personality Angie Kent has featured on today’s episode of Confessions of a Train Wreck with Phoebe Parsons for endometriosis awareness month.

The Podshape podcast, details the experiences the pair have each had with endometriosis, a disease that affects 1 in 10 women.

“The first thing I thought when I got my little photo thing after surgery was, I’m going to post this on Instagram, but then I stopped,” explained Parsons.

“I dont think this is appropriate for social media.”

Kent replied, “But isn’t it? Or is that just like, our conditioning as women?”

Both Angie and Phoebe have been hospitalised due to complications with the disorder resulting in surgery, and they hope to shed light on the issue by sharing their stories on social media and the podcast.

Their raw and candid chat goes where many aren’t willing to, including experiencing painful sex, mental health, self-esteem issues and how taxing living with an invisible illness is on your career and your relationships.
