New late night show for the Hit Network

Reporter

The Hit Network has announced a brand new show for Late Nights, The Pulse with Seany B & Emma G, hosted by Sean Brown and Emma Georgiadis.

Starting tonight from 10, The Pulse with Seany B & Emma G tunes in to the world of music as the country’s newest destination for the hottest music, artist interviews, live performances and pop culture content.

From his beginnings in Tasmania, Sean has been heard on Hobart’s Hit100.9 and Newcastle’s Hot106.9 along with national Nights on the Hit Network during winter and summer breaks.

Sean has interviewed some of music’s biggest names including Rob Thomas, Craig David, Jojo, Julia Michaels and Amy Shark.

Most recently joining Sydney’s 2DayFM morning line up, Emma has worked in the entertainment and media industry for more than 15 years.

Coming from a teaching background, Emma has amassed an impressive radio resume, having been behind the microphone on Triple M, the Hit Network and Nova.

Sean says “The Hit Network have put this kid from Tassie on a national radio show to play the hottest hits and talk about the most interesting celeb news. I must be bloody dreaming!”

Emma says “After nine years on air, I’m so excited to step into a co-host role and bring Late Nights to life with Sean. We can’t wait to spread the zest across Australia!”

Head of Hit Metro Content and 101.9 The Fox Content Director Amanda Lee says “We know our listeners and Australia love their music and all things celebrity so, we have delivered with something really special for Late Nights! We’re so thrilled to welcome our new talent in Sean and Emma to what will be an exciting national show.”

What a fantastic decision from management.
Will beat Novas pre-recorded show from Aaron Rich replaying breaks and callers from his Nova 100 x Nova 969 workday.

Now what’s in store for Weekend Breakfast on the Hit Network?
Hopefully another good lineup to follow!

Yay Emma G! She’s worked so hard for so long it’s amazing to see female talent get the recognition it deserves! Can’t wait to see what her and Seany do. Is this flaunt it Seany b?

This is a huge get for Amanda and the content team. Great signing.

I’m sure they will be spinning TV Rock’s 2006 hit “Flaunt It” which topped the ARIA charts back then. Nice work Seany B.

Who said radio is dead guys? Amanda knows what’s hot!

SCA pouring money into a daypart with no listeners. How does this decision happen? Surerly the focus of the Head of Hit Network Metro should be the breakfast show in Sydney?

Amanda and Dave should be Sydney based and should focus on 2dayfm. There’s no point tinkering with late nights.

Why on earth would a network CD be downing time, focus and money on late nights. Astounds me.
