“My hair is heritage listed, mate.” Guido Hatzis returns to radio, this time on 3AW
If you’ve ever wondered whatever happened to Guido Hatzis – the legendary, Greek-Australian comedy god who was once a regular fixture on Triple M, wonder no more.
Lately, Guido’s been popping up on 3AW Afternoons with his old alter-ego Tony Moclair, chatting about everything from his crowning glory to long distance drives … and even offering advice on the Australian government’s purchase of Japanese warships.

Calling in this week to chat about the topic of haircuts, Guido told Moclair “Obviously I’m a very tall, very good lookin’ man. So mate, my hair is heritage listed, mate. If I want a haircut, I gotta go to VCAT, mate!”
Guido also touched on the delicate topic of shoulder waxing and the wonders of sticky tape:
“Because there is nothing it cannot fix! I have spoken!” *click*
“Apologies for that,” says Moclair as Guido hangs up in his ear.

Guido – who won ARIA awards for his albums Do Not Talk Over Me and Whatever, first started making the odd appearance on-air whilst Moclair was hosting Australia Overnight.
Now, Guido is bringing his famously blunt and often outrageous observations to Afternoon talkback radio.
And judging by the social media reaction, Guido fans from years gone by can’t get enough of it:
“If this keeps up, Tony will be the highest rating radio show on radio in no time. #Guido.”
