Ben surprises Liam with special birthday cake stunt for his 30th birthday

Tomorrow, KIIS 1023’s Liam Stapleton turns 30 – but the birthday celebrations have already begun.

Liam was surprised live on-air this morning by longtime show favourite Hans, who emerged from a giant birthday cake.

The celebratory moment comes just a day after Ben & Liam in the Morning delivered a breakout first survey result, recording the biggest growth in Adelaide Breakfast radio.

The show rose 1.5 points to a 10.5 share and now reaches 155,000 listeners each week.

Hans – the glittering accordion-playing alter ego of Adelaide-born entertainer Matt Gilbertson – brought his signature high-energy performance and cheeky humour to the studio, helping turn Liam’s milestone celebration into a standout on-air moment.
