Pete Davis returns to Super Radio Network
Reporter
Pete Davis has returned to the Super Radio Network, hosting various shifts on Sydney’s 2SM.
After he departed last year – and his shift was taken over by Brent Bultitiude – Davis is back in a fill-in capacity.
Davis has been with SRN on and off for the past twelve and a half years.

I think you’ll find that Brent Bultitude actually held the Afternoon shift on 2SM/2HD/the Super Radio Network for about a decade before Pete Davis’ year or so. During that time (C.May 2024-25), Brent Bultitude presented Weekend Mornings.
One assumes the powers that be must have had their reasons for putting Brent back on Weekday Arvos. Similar deal with Gary Stewart getting bumped back to Overnights after a few years presenting Talk Tonight (taking over from Graeme Gilbert after his abrupt departure from the airwaves), however with Cheralyn Darcey recently winning her Australian Audio Award it’d probably be fair to guess that “The Nightline” is fairly likely to stick around for a while yet!
Anyway, probably reasonable to assume that Pete Davis may be selected to fill-in on the Weekday Morning shift when Chris Smith goes on his “Cruise of Common Sense” in just under two weeks.
I’ll never understand why they put Gary Stewart back on overnights. The guy pours so much effort into his radio show; they really should have kept him on the 8 PM to midnight slot
Whatever happened to Graeme Gilbert?
@Charlie: I think Graeme Gilbert abruptly went on sick leave he ultimately didn’t return from?
Wikipedia suggests he presented “Talk Tonight” until 2023 however, IIRC Gary Stewart had taken over by about mid-2022.
Either way, the Super Radio Network doesn’t exactly have what you’d call a strong presenting lineup overall at the moment. Whoever takes over as the new Newcastle GM (one assumes the now sacked Guy Ashford had a major influence on network content decisions) would probably be wise to make a play for some of the NBN News people that WIN are about to let go of!
