Maybe not the right time to ask that question
ABC Radio Sydney posted a listener research question on its Facebook page yesterday.
It may have been a little too soon.
The post said:
One person commented: “Wow!!!! Not a lot of support for the new abc management team and their changes on here. I wonder if they are reading?”
With over 200 comments and still growing, most of the sentiment is against the abrupt management changes that dumped Sarah Macdonald and Simon Marnie last year. A selection of comments:
One Facebook follower seems to reflect the views of many who posted comments:
“This is just rubbing our noses in the loss of Simon and Sarah. Bring them back or give it a rest.”
It may not have been the right time to ask that question.
The page is still live and comments are open, for now.
Listeners also reacted to a triple j post shared on the page.

Sarah McDonald had the most uplifting evening show during the dark days of the COVID pandemic.
The ratings for her morning program increased. Then she is taken off air.
She is not the first person nor will it be the last time that despite delivering the goods, a program is taken off air.
For example Melbourne’s Lauren and Jase were taken off their breakfast slot to be replaced by K and J O’.
K and J O’ ratings dropped to 5 while Lauren and Jase topped the ratings on their new station.
Thanks
