MasterChef winner Brent Draper launches Behind the Drapes podcast

MasterChef 2023 winner Brent Draper and wife Shonleigh ‘Shon‘ Draper have released a new podcast with Podshape called Behind the Drapes. 

Throughout the series, Brent and Shon discuss parenting, marriage, travel, business, life values and navigating mental health as a family unit. 

Drawing on their 12-year relationship, they delve into the highs and lows of life together as a young family in 2023.

Brent moved into the public eye in season 13 of Channel 10’s MasterChef before making the decision to withdraw for mental health reasons. 

After receiving support, Brent returned to the show and took the title of 2023 MasterChef winner. 

Now a mental health advocate, Brent incorporates the theme into their podcast while also having a look ‘Behind the Drapes’ at other aspects of family life, including a story of their hypno-birth that made Shon so relaxed she nearly gave birth in their bedroom. 

The couple also touch on Brent’s journey from tradie to MasterChef and dealing with MasterChef’s judge, Jock Zonfrillo’s death.

Behind the Drapes is available weekly on Mondays from October 3 on Spotify, Apple, Amazon and all other major podcast platforms.
