Mark Wahlberg calls in during Kyle & Jackie O’s interview with the Maclean brothers
There was a mega dose of Hollywood on this morning’s Kyle & Jackie O Show when A-lister Mark Wahlberg joined the KIIS duo out of the blue.
During an interview with the Maclean brothers – the Scottish trio who’ve just rowed non-stop across the Pacific Ocean from Peru to Australia – Wahlberg dropped by at the last minute to chat and revealed his plans to make a movie about the brothers’ heroic mission to raise money for clean water projects in Madagascar.
When asked who he would cast to star as the brothers, Wahlberg confessed that he already had his eye on the Hemsworths!
Jackie: Mark Wahlberg is also joining us on this Zoom.
Kyle: Get the f*** out of here!
Mark Wahlberg: Hi, how are you?
Kyle: So, I heard a rumour that you were following the trail of these guys and did want to make a movie about it, but I heard that you reached out to the fellas as well once they landed in Cairns. Is that right, boys? Mark?
Mark Wahlberg: Luckily enough, I was able to communicate with them along their journey a couple of times along the way. I’d heard about their story. I was absolutely blown away by what they were doing and the courage and the cause that they were doing it for, so I wanted to basically reach out and just help to create some awareness and of course, root them on and let them know that we were thinking about them. We were praying for them, and we’re cheering for them every row of the way. And it’s absolutely remarkable what they were doing. And, you know, they were like, ‘Oh, you’ve done movies that have been difficult before.’ I said, ‘Yeah, but I went home at the end of every night, and I laid in my bed. I took a warm shower.’ And I look at these guys, they still haven’t even I don’t even think they’ve bathed yet.
The Kyle & Jackie O Show can be heard from 6am to 10am on KIIS 1065 in Sydney and KIIS 101.1 in Melbourne, or listen on the free iHeart App.
Is someone a big fan of this show at Radio Today?
Another gushing article about this garbage
It’s getting really embarrassing.
Settle down Mel regardless of what you think of the show, brothers who rowed non-stop across the Pacific Ocean from Peru to Australia then celebrated by Hollywood stars is not garbage. Nice work KJ team.
