Kyle Sandilands shares concerning health news
Kyle Sandilands revealed doctors recently found abnormalities in his white blood cells, recommending he undergo tests on his bone marrow.
“I’ve been doing a lot of blood tests. Whatever those numbers are that you doctors all talk about – I’m on the way up, and if it gets up to 16, then I’ve got leukaemia,” Kyle said.
“I don’t have leukaemia, the doctor said … but he needs to check my bone marrow.”
After sharing the news, Kyle nonchalantly asked KIIS FM’s ‘Dr KIIS’ Sam Hay if he was “going to die.”
“White blood cells are produced by our bright bone marrow, and sometimes they do start to grow abnormally,” Dr Hay said.
“Often with these ones. No, there isn’t a huge amount we can do other than keep the general sphere of health.”
“Great,” Kyle said. “There’s a tick tock on my life. Set the clock. Let’s start the countdown.”
Confused by the news, Jackie O Henderson asked if Kyle could exercise more to improve his health.
“Not allowed. Cardio problems with high blood pressure,” Kyle said.
“Go and get the blood test,” said Dr Hay.
“Just in case.”
