“It was carnage!” Jase Hawkins makes his AFL debut in school dads footy match

With Melbourne in the grip of AFL finals fever, Jase Hawkins from Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren literally took one for the team this week.

Whilst he took a bit of convincing, Jase donned a guernsey and joined the dads from his kids’ school for a footy match.

Jase was nervous ahead of the game, but came out the other side of it injury-free and with a goal to his name!

Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway were there to witness it, shouting their support from the sidelines.

Lauren said “It was so fun, and all jokes aside, I know that was so far out of your comfort zone. We’re all very proud of you for getting amongst it!”

When Jase mentioned there were a lot of ice packs being handed around, Lauren replied: “It was carnage!”
