Happy Birthday Elspeth. Beloved ABC Radio Darwin caller turns 100

For years, Elspeth has been a beloved, regular caller to ABC Radio Darwin.

Yesterday, Elspeth turned 100.

After being serenaded by Breakfast host Adam Steer on a celebratory call, Elspeth responded with “Thank you very much. And thank you very much for suffering me all these years of me giving you a hard time.”

The ABC Darwin team replied “It has been an absolute pleasure Elspeth! Happy Birthday!”

It was a timely reminder of radio’s powerful connection.

Elspeth celebrated the day with family, posing with the birthday card she received from King Charles and Queen Camilla.
