Gary Adshead to wrap up on ABC Radio Perth at the end of this year

At the start of his Drive program on ABC Radio Perth this afternoon, Tuesday October 7, Gary Adshead announced that he will wrap up at the station and on radio at the end of this year.

Gary shifted from 6PR Mornings to ABC Perth Drive at the end of 2024 after 6PR cut staff and expanded roles for those remining. Listeners were following too with the national broadcaster in the city having a particularly strong survey 5 result.

Gary said on air that the pressures of live radio have become more and more of a challenge.

His last show is Friday December 12.
