Daredevil mission accomplished for Nova 106.9’s Mitch Lewis

Being a roving reporter often requires some daredevil missions – and that was certainly the case last Friday for Mitch Lewis from the Nova Brisbane Breakfast show.

To celebrate the Winter Games and Dreamworld becoming the Official Theme Park Partner of the Australian Olympic Team – Mitch did a live cross to Nick, Luttsy & Susie O’Neill direct from the Giant Drop – hailed as the tallest and fastest thrill ride in the Southern Hemisphere.

With speeds of up to 135km/h and a freefall of 39 storeys, Mitch likened the hair-raising experience to alpine skiing – where athletes reach speeds of up to 150 ks an hour.

Dreamworld will be airing the Winter Games throughout the park at different times.
