Chris Lanzon takes to the stage in Nova’s Skyline Sessions
As he prepares to release his new single this week, Australian indie-folk artist Chris Lanzon took to the stage last Saturday night under the neon glow of Nova’s Skyline Sessions at the iconic Rooftop at QT in Melbourne.
The acoustic evening saw Chris deliver a stripped-back performance, with super fans gathering at the front of the stage; some even travelling from as far as Brisbane to catch the set.
Chris opened with Starlight and his 2024 single Technicolo(u)r, which he described as being about the feeling of “Being deliriously obsessed with someone.”

This was followed by fan-favourite June and unreleased track Weatherman.
It was a big start to the week for the emerging artist, who releases new single Carrots this Wednesday (6 August).
He performed the song as part of his set and was surprised by a playful moment, as a fan handed him a bunch of carrots as a gift before he began the song.
Chris rounded out the set with World Between Us and Lilo, thanking Nova and QT Melbourne for the opportunity to perform in such a unique space.
After finishing up on stage, the singer-songwriter made sure to meet all his fans who had travelled from around the country to be there, posing for photos and even handwriting lyrics for one fan planning a commemorative tattoo.
The performance marked the third instalment of Nova’s Skyline Sessions.
The final Skyline Session will take place Saturday 16 August, featuring Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Sam McGovern. More info here.
