Changes a plenty ahead of Double J’s 10th birthday in 2024

On April 30, 2024 Double J will turn 10. There’ll be celebrations all through the next year with new and familiar faces and Missy Higgins as Artist in Residence in February, as she marks 20 years since the release of her debut album The Sound of White.

On air next year, Dylan Lewis will take over hosting Mornings, Monday to Thursday, from 9am.

Zan Rowe will continue on Friday Mornings with Take 5 and Desko and Karen Leng will  move to Lunch, from midday Monday to Thursday.

Friday Lunch will be presented by Caz Tran, who’s been with the station since inception and will also return with Classic Albums on Monday nights at 6pm.

Tim Shiel continues on Arvos from 3pm, Monday to Thursday.

Friday arvos will feature a new hip hop block party show hosted by Hau Latukefu from 5pm. He will also continue his weekly Sky High program.

Richard Kingsmill has already departed the station but you can listen to his Funhouse decades specials and archive interviews via the ABC listen app. Stir It Up‘s Mikaela Simpson and Weekend Morning’s Rad Yeo have also left.

Missy Higgins, as Artist in Residence in February, and ahead of her virtually sold out national tour, will feature on Sunday afternoons across the month and on the ABC listen app with her hand picked songs.

To wrap up this year the final J Files podcast is online or available on the ABC listen app as is the 50 Best Albums of 2023.

Double J and triple j are also offering you the opportunity to make your mark at the stations in 2024 with roles available including as ABC Head of Music and as triple j’s Sydney Manager. Check out these and more Radio Today jobs here.

This is great news, to have Morning, Lunch and Arvos, hosted shows back to back. Welcome Dylan and Caz. Awesome station for “grown up” alternative music fans.

Thank God Rad Yeo is gone! Terrible announcer; always sounded like she should be doing work experience at TripleJ. Only time I turned off the station was Saturday and Sunday mornings.
