“Not done in good faith”: Jackie O’s workplace bullying claim challenged

Reporter

In an explosive turn of events, ARN has lodged an amended defence in Jackie Henderson’s Federal Court lawsuit – claiming her complaint of workplace rights being breached was made because she wanted to get out of her Breakfast radio gig alongside Kyle Sandilands, and work on a different show.

Henderson has claimed she was unlawfully dismissed from her co-hosting role on KIIS Breakfast.

But her bullying claim was not made in line with workplace law, according to the defence of ARN subsidiary CBC (Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation).

In documents made public yesterday, ARN said:

“That Ms Henderson and Henderson Media reserved their right to make a report to SafeWork NSW was not done in good faith and for a proper purpose.”

According to the defence, Henderson had no intention of meaningfully pursuing a claim with the workplace watchdog – as no proceedings were ever filed.

More to come.
