Reporter

SCA says 2023 is shaping up as another solid year for LiSTNR podcasts.

“In the December 2022 Triton Podcast Ranker released today, LiSTNR finished 2022 as Australia’s number one podcast network with more than 5.383 million monthly listeners.”

LiSTNR also retained the no. 1 podcasts in their genre, including Hamish & Andy as Australia’s favourite comedy podcast, 7am with Schwartz Media as the no. 1 news podcast, and The Howie Games as the no. 1 sports podcast in the Top 150 Podcast ranker.

LiSTNR has eight of the top 20 podcast titles and 19 podcasts in the top 50, with some notable debuts and rapid rises across December.

Some of the LiSTNR network podcasts in the top 20 include Crime Junkie, Morbid, It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield, SmartLess and On Purpose with Jay Shetty.

LiSTNR’s original docu-series podcast, The Children in the Pictures, jumped 15 places in the Top 150 Podcasts and made its debut in the top 40 All Australian Podcasts ranker.

The crime genre continues to prove popular, with LiSTNR network podcasts from Wondery and Stitcher, including Crime Junkie, My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, Something Was Wrong, Small Town Murder and True Crime Garage all performing well.

Grant Tothill SCA Executive Head LiSTNR Podcasts – says “After finishing 2022 as Australia’s number one podcast network, we are looking to drive stronger growth in 2023.”

“We have more partnerships, new titles that will join LiSTNR podcasts, along with some exciting new podcasts currently in production and slated for release later this year. As always, our teams remain focused on creating and growing premium podcasts to engage with the growing podcast audiences in Australia and offering advertisers more and more opportunities to talk to them.”
