Big year ahead for ABC Classic and ABC Jazz

ABC Classic & Jazz have given us peek at programming for both stations this year.

From Monday to Friday on ABC Classic, Dr Megan Burslem is back on Weekday Breakfast.

Weekday Mornings will be helmed by Russell Torrance, along with Martin Buzacott, who will return later in 2024.

Listeners can look forward to an earlier start to Classic Drive with Vanessa Hughes.

Damien Beaumont is back on Evenings from 8pm.

Lunchtime Concert returns in 2024 with the biggest concerts from Australia’s leading orchestras, ensembles and soloists.

ABC Classic also introduces two new programs.

Mindful Music sees registered psychologist Greta Bradman bring listeners an ideal playlist for mindfulness.

The Musical Show brings audiences all the glitz, glam and fun from Broadway to the screen and everything in between, hosted by Gija woman, performer and presenter Naarah.

On ABC Jazz, James Valentine (Upbeat), Monica Trapaga (The Dinner Set) and Mal Stanley (Jazztrack) are all set to return from Monday 29 January with bassist Eric Ajaye featuring a different Jazz Legend each month.

ABC Jazz continues to celebrate Australian jazz artists with the return of the Artist In Residence series and exclusive recordings across the year, as well as the annual Women of Jazz Fest.

ABC Classic also unveils the Classic 100 Countdown theme for 2024: ‘Feel Good’.

The Classic 100 is an annual poll of Australia’s favourite classical music.
