Big fan: Albo chats with Deborah Harry on ABC Radio Sydney

Anthony Albanese reckons he’s probably the only pollie in Australia who’d be OK about having his radio interview bumped for Deborah Harry.

On Sarah Macdonald’s Mornings program on ABC Radio Sydney, the PM’s interview segment was pushed back to accommodate the legendary Blondie singer.

But rather than feel a bit miffed, for Albo, it was the perfect opportunity to let Harry know he’s a big fan, and discuss his favourite early albums.

Harry said she looks forward to meeting the PM in the flesh when she returns to Australia in May.

Listeners even suggested that she should sing at Albo’s upcoming wedding.
