Bernie & Emma G welcome Bel Sloane to SAFM Breakfast full-time in 2026

SAFM’s Adelaide Breakfast show is expanding in 2026, with Bel Sloane joining the team full-time.
From Monday, January 19, Emma Georgiadis returns to join Bernie Vince on the airwaves after a break to welcome her first child, but this time, there’s a new addition.
Bel – who filled in while Emma was on maternity leave – will remain on the Breakfast show, which will now be called Bel, Bernie & Emma G.
A local media and lifestyle personality, mum of three and wife to AFL star Rory Sloane, Bel has co-hosted SAFM Breakfast over the past five months.
SCA says Bel’s warmth, wit and instant connection with listeners made her too good to let go.
Bernie said “I’ve missed my mate G, and I know listeners have too, so I’m excited to have her back in 2026. It’s been awesome having Bel step in while Emma was on leave, she’s done an amazing job, and I’m stoked she’s staying on. Together, we’re going to create something special next year.”
Emma said “After some precious time with my newborn, I’m excited to get back into it with the SAFM family. I’ve missed our listeners and can’t wait to switch the 4am wake ups from feeds to fun! I’m looking forward to bringing fresh energy and ideas with Bernie and Bel to create something exciting for Adelaide.”
Bel said “I never imagined I’d get used to 4am alarms, but here we are! I am so thrilled that Bern, Emma and the team have invited me to stay on and make this permanent. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these past few months, learning not only about radio but also getting to know this amazing city and its people better. But what’s been even more special is showing my kids that there’s more to me than just being their mum. They’re proud to see me step up and take on new challenges. I’m looking forward to having Emma back, alongside Bernie – there’s so much energy and banter to look forward to, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll offer listeners together.”
SAFM’s Bel, Bernie & Emma G Breakfast show will be heard from 6am to 9am, Monday to Friday from Monday 19 January and is also available on LiSTNR.

I like the station, but these guys need an air check. They all talk over each other horribly, and it just sounds like a mash of voices, sometimes you don’t even know what’s going on.
@nick Yeah i agree, sometimes I don’t know what’s going on and I’m listening thinking, ‘what is going on!’ I never know. Then when i don’t hear the station ID i also think what is going on and I almost drive my car off the road because i don’t know what’s going on.
I also don’t know what’s going on. But then, does anyone?
What I do know, is that phoners like ‘should the man pay for dinner on a first date’ is very regional-tier content for a metro station. And yes, they did it not long ago.

Well I know whats going on. A lack of ideas. They do need some creative input. It can sound like the GEN&ERIC show.
It was valid criticism, I made. Perhaps it hit a nerve?
Also, 1am on a Saturday night, is basically the afternoon on weekends. At least, for those of us with stamina, it is.
