Ben Harvey absent from show as wife Sam enters labour

Nova 100’s Ben Harvey was a no-show for work today, instead heading to the hospital to be with his wife Sam who is currently in labour.

The co-host of Breakfast show Ben, Liam & Belle, is expecting the birth of his first child at any moment.

Liam and Belle revealed the news on air this morning while holding down the fort until Ben returns.

Ben and Sam were married back in April 2020 after meeting in 2015.

The pair confirmed the pregnancy in January this year and Ben revealed on air that Sam’s due date was last weekend, keeping everyone, including co-hosts Liam and Belle, on the edge of their seats waiting for the announcement.

As they prepare for Ben to head off on paternity leave, the team asked listeners to play a game of Baby Name Bingo, with the chance to win $1000 if they guess the baby’s name right.

With over 100 guesses coming in, highlights include Liam, Oppenheimer, Axel and Anakin.
