Archie & Bretz to host Drive on 92.7 MIXFM

Queensland’s Sunny Coast has new Drive radio duo, with Sam ‘Archie’ Arenson and Henry Bretz joining the team at 92.7 MIX FM.

It follows the recent departure of Todd ‘Toddy’ Widdicombe and Sami Muirhead from MIX FM Drive.

Archie and Henry first crossed paths in 2022 at a Lonely Single Radio Hosts function — and the chemistry was instant.

The pair went on to co-host Breakfast radio at Power100 in Townsville, where their larger-than-life stunts had the whole town talking. From collecting dirt from listeners to build a new ‘mountain,’ to constructing a sea wall from stubby coolers and even camping out in chairs for over 24 hours to win cash for listeners, nothing was off-limits.

Now reunited, Archie & Bretz are set to bring their freewheeling and unpredictable style to the Sunshine Coast.

Henry says “Working in radio anywhere with your best mate is a pinch-yourself opportunity, but to step into the incredible show built by Todd & Sami is a genuine honour. Archie & I cannot wait to work day and night to build the same rapport and connection that Todd & Sami had with the Sunny Coast community. As a proud Queenslander, I’m buzzing to be back in the sun and working with Archie, AB, Mark, and the entire Mix team to build on the station’s success. While we will sorely miss the 3:30am alarms, bring on Drive!”

Archie & Bretz will officially launch their new Drive show in early November, keeping the Coast company from 3pm – 6pm weekdays. Listeners can expect the same trademark fun, local stories, and a show where the community is at the heart of every stunt, segment and laugh.
