Ali Plath launches ‘Ali’s Bod Squad’

Triple M Gold Coast’s, Ali Plath is putting her best foot forward to get back into shape after supportive encouragement from co-host Spida Everitt earlier this week, and she’s taking five listeners along for the journey.

With a sound body and sound mind in focus, the Triple M team launched ‘Ali’s Bod Squad’, made up of a group of women with the shared goal of improving their health.

After representing Australia in touch football over ten years ago, Ali put the structured drills behind her while putting others and her career first, causing her to gain 26 kilos.

With concerns about her health, she knows it’s time to take the reins.

“I do worry about my heart, it’s on my mind,” said Ali. “It’s something that I really should take more seriously, and I am now.”

“It’s not about looks,” said Spida. “It’s about healthy bodies and healthy minds.”

Over four weeks, Ali’s Bod Squad aims to motivate, challenge, and empower all participants who struggled to find the time, money and motivation to get moving in the past.

The squad includes women like Rebecca from Mudgeeraba, who said she never puts herself first, Lyndsay from Elanora who wants to be active with her niece and nephews, and Lisa from Labrador who wants to get back to “being her”.

Tracey from Broadbeach said she has been needing a chance like this to get the weight off and gain back her confidence, and Jess from Nerang said she needs Ali’s Bod Squad to fill the void of the support system she is lacking.

The squad will receive talks from nutritionists and personal trainers, share weight loss stories and concerns, and challenge themselves physically, thanks to The Oasis Health Hub.

Follow the journey on weekday mornings from 6-9am with Gold Coast Triple M’s Flan, Ali and Spida on 92.5 FM.
