Abbey Cullen is the new Workday Announcer for HIT 101.3 Broome and HIT 97.9 Goldfields, taking the reins from Sian Parry, who’s heading to the UK next month.

Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Abbey said “I have big shoes to fill, as Sian Parry is conquering BIG things across the globe. I wish you all the best, Sian.”

Abbey previously hosted Workdays on Triple M 981 in the Goldfields.

That role will now be filled by her SCA colleague and former BOOM Radio announcer and Operations Manager Chris Northover.

Abbey made history by becoming the first female announcer for Triple M Goldfields, following in the footsteps of now City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor Glenn Wilson, who served nearly 16 years in the role.

She also recently launched From Far Far Away, a podcast which helps navigate couples through long distance relationships

“I’m going to miss Triple M for sure, however I know the station is in very good hands with the wonderful Chris Northover taking over,” she said.

Abbey began her radio journey as a Casanova and later receptionist with NOVA Entertainment.
