Shaboozey talks chart success with Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie

This morning on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, the team was joined by music superstar Shaboozey, currently in the middle of his Aussie tour with Jelly Roll.

Shaboozey chatted about the huge year he’s had with his hit ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy).’

Wippa: Did you know that A Bar Song was the number one played song on Australian radio last year? We dedicated the entire network to The Bar Song.

Shaboozey: Wow that’s huge … thank you guys so much!

Wippa: How many times have you wandered into a bar just thinking ‘I’ll have a quick drink with a friend, be good to see their face’… and then someone decides to put your song on?

Shaboozey: Oh, I leave immediately, it’s honestly weird! It’s like a second intuition, sometimes I’ll leave and then as I’m entering the car I’ll hear the song playing at the place … they’re probably thinking ‘Where is he? Oh he’s already escaped.’
