SEN Track farewells Andrew Bensley
SEN has announced that respected SEN Track broadcaster, Andrew Bensley, will be departing the network, and therefore concluding his self-titled show, Bensley.
Andrew will be joining Melbourne’s RSN in September as Program Director.
“We have the highest respect for Andrew and his contribution to chasing, pacing and racing,” SEN chief executive Craig Hutchison said.
“He and his wife Bernie have been incredible partners for SEN and ‘Hoss’ has been an integral part of SEN Track. He has been one of the reasons for SENTrack’s rapid rise and success, connecting to a whole new era of racing fans and the modern way they consume content.
“We wish he and Bernie all the best in their next venture.”
Andrew has a career in racing spanning over 40 years with two decades spent between Sky Sports Radio and Sky Racing.
In his earlier years, Andrew worked at RSN’s predecessors, 3DB and 3UZ.
Speaking on Andrew’s new role beginning in September, RSN’s Chairman John Stewart said, “The RSN board is thrilled to announce the appointment of Andrew Bensley as program director.”
“Andrew brings an exceptional CV as a racing broadcaster and a deep affinity for radio to this integral role. His wealth of experience and relationships across Victoria’s three racing codes will be a tremendous asset for Andrew and the station.”
