Ray Hadley opens up about his retirement with Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie

This morning on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, the team was joined by high profile radio veteran Ray Hadley.

Hadley opened up about his decision to retire after 24 years at Sydney’s 2GB, admitting it had been months in the making.

He also teased a possible move to Smooth FM (was it tongue in cheek??) and revealed what else he’s keen to do next.

“I can tell you, there’s no danger of me replacing you, because I’ve got a non compete clause up until midday, but I’ll give you a tip … Richard Wilkins better be very careful at Smooth because I’ll be there very playing Why Does It Matter very shortly. Exclusively … I’m telling you, I’ve had discussions with Lachlan and I’m bringing my CDs.”
