Star Mackay and the Whitsundays Breakfast hosts Rach and Jake, Rachel Zonta and Jake Aquilina, will wrap up the show in the next week with Jake moving to breakfast on the Gold Coast and Rachel taking the opportunity to focus on family.

It was an emotional announcement from Rachel, who started in radio 11 years ago with listeners watching her grow up, get married and become a mum.

The pair leave on top of the ratings. Rachel’s radio life saw her move from sales rep to air and then a switch of networks soon after being made redundant, with listeners following her across the journey.
