Footy fans show their true colours for The Christian O’Connell Show

Footy fever has well and truly taken hold in Melbourne this week ahead of the 2023 AFL Grand Final, with Gold 104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show literally painting the streets black, white, maroon, gold and blue.

The show took applications from footy fans across the city who were willing to gift the façade of their house and have it painted loudly and proudly in their team colours with the very presumptuous ‘PREMIERS 23’ tagline included.

After two nail-biting preliminary finals over the weekend, show hosts Christian O’Connell, Jack Post and Patrina Jones have got Collingwood super fan Belinda from Vermont South and Brisbane super fan Aaron from Craigieburn ready to put their houses (and hearts) on the line.

Both super fans also get to take home a $1000 cash prize thanks to Monarch.

Christian says “Melbourne changes during Finals week and that’s why I wanted to find super fans prepared to literally put their house on the line and let us paint the front of their house in their team’s colours.”
