Triple M Fraser Coast’s Scott Gilmour hangs up the mic after 39 years

Former Assistant Editor

Triple M Fraser Coast (formerly 4MB) is farewelling one of its all-time legends, with the news that Breakfast host Scott Gilmour will not return to the station.

Gilmour has been at Maryborough’s 4MB for 39 years, experiencing the recent rebrand to Triple M in December 2016 among many other things down the years.

“Scott has made no secret of the fact that family has… moved away, and quite rightly Scott has decided to be with his family,” announced his Breakfast partner Andrew Bland.

Scott and Andrew have worked together for 22 years.

“It’s hard to put into words exactly what that means for me personally.

“We’re gonna miss him… for those who’ve known and talked to Scott over the years, we’ve all got a story to tell.”

Andrew will continue to host Breakfast alone.

Listen to the announcement:

Scott and Andrew are the second long-term regional Triple M Breakfast show to finish in the last week, with Triple M Riverina’s Pottsy & Leighton also finishing up, after 25 years together.
