WaveFM’s Apple for the Teacher

WaveFM has revived its successful Apple for the Teacher campaign and will reward a teacher and their entire class with iPad minis.

Last year, over 3000 Wollongong teachers were nominated for their hard work, kindness and positive attitudes.

Breakfast co-host Travis Wink from the Hot Breakfast with Emma and Travis said there was a buzz in the local community about the promotion.

“Parents and students that I run into around the place are all talking about it,” he said.

“So many parents and students are proud of their teachers and nominating them is a great way to show recognition.”

Wink, who is a father and understands the importance of technology for learning, said: “When I was at school, it was faster to use an encyclopedia than wait for dial up internet.”

“The opportunity to kit out an entire class and their teacher with iPad minis is awesome.”
