MIXX FM Colac in the “Spirit” of things

Ghostly ghouls rose from their graves on Halloween – all for a good cause.

MIXX FM Colac hosted an epic Halloween event which raised more than $1,000 for Let’s Talk Colac which is a local mental health support organisation.

The station transformed its entire building into a Halloween wonderland.

Studios became the scariest rooms in town, the sales office became a smoke-filled graveyard, the creative office was a toucher chamber, and the common area was and a spiders nest haunted by a crazy Nun.

According to General Manager Nick Hay: “The event itself was the talk of the town. It was another BIG idea from our operations Manager James Thwaites, former employee Kris Seabert and local Broadcast Technician Chris Barks.

…“Their enthusiasm and dedication to this project was simply outstanding and the delivery was scarily good, they did an outstanding job, I think we had Australia’s spookiest radio station.”

With a frighteningly fantastic turnout and a spine-tingling atmosphere, the event is being seen as setting new standards for Halloween celebrations for local Radio Stations.
