3AW staff, families, friends, and commercial clients will tread along and to bring the energy of the challenge to listeners across Victoria, 3AW will be broadcasting live from the event with Afternoons with Tony Moclair and Drive with Jacqui Felgate on Friday, followed by Weekends with Darren James on Saturday morning.
3AW Station Manager Stephen Beers said:
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Very Special Kids for the 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge again and shine a light on the incredible work VSK do all year round.”
“Victorian families navigating the heartbreaking journey of paediatric palliative care rely on Very Special Kids through life, death, and bereavement,” said Michael Wasley, CEO of Very Special Kids.
“No parent should face the prospect of their child’s illness alone. With 3AW and the community’s support, we are aiming to raise $1 million this year to ensure no local family goes unsupported. 3AW remains a critical partner in making this possible.”
Very Special Kids provides holistic palliative care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, alongside tailored support for their families. Every dollar raised goes directly toward their funding.
