After a brief hiatus, Triple M’s Give Me 5 for Kids has returned to the Gold Coast in spectacular style.

This year, 92.5 Triple M Gold’s Leisel Jones, Liam and Spida were set the Raise for a Ride challenge.

In a supreme test of nerves, the team had to ascend the outside of the iconic HOTA (Home of The Arts) Gallery building in Surfers Paradise to help raise vital funds for local oncology patients needing Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Patient Transport services to access their life-saving chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

The Gold Coast community donated in large numbers – sending Leisel, Liam and Spida higher and higher.

This morning, they revealed that their Raise for a Ride campaign has raised more than $189,000 for the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Patient Transport Service.

It all culminated in today’s special outside broadcast where Leisel, Liam and Spida put on their harnesses and made their way up the building.

Leisel Jones, Liam and Spida said “The Gold Coast has always been a community that shows up when people need help. We’ve seen that through Give Me 5 for Kids over many years, and we saw it again today. We’re incredibly grateful to our listeners, partners and the broader community for helping raise nearly $200,000 which funds nearly 3,000 trips for local cancer patients.”

The funds raised through Raise for a Ride will directly support the Cancer Patient Transport Service, helping to ensure  thatmore Gold Coast residents can access treatment when they need it most.
