triple j’s Requestival returns

triple j is bringing back its ‘Requestival‘ next week, handing the reins over to listeners to choose the music for the whole week.

Running from Monday 26 September until Friday 30 September, requests open this Wednesday and give listeners total control of the playlists between 6am-10pm – what could possibly go wrong?

Last year saw more than 80,000 requests ranging from Julia Gillard’s iconic misogyny speech to every horse girl’s favourite, The Saddle Club theme song; and even a core memory for any kid born in the ’90s with the song from the ‘You Wouldn’t Steal a Car’ anti-piracy ad.

triple j is requesting all the songs listeners love, ranging from classic to funny and everything in between. 

Listeners are asked to remember they control the queue, so be sure the song requested is something people are gonna turn up. They want the tunes that you belt out in the shower or the ones you blast on a road trip with mates. The songs that wake you up for a 4am shift and the bangers that get you through the day.

To make requests, download or update the triple j app and send them in from this Wednesday and listen from next week.
